What customers ask first
Does EMPIDENT replace the dental examination?
No. EMPIDENT provides structured information for initial assessment, prioritisation and follow-up. Diagnosis, treatment decisions and treatment itself remain with the dentist. The benefit is bringing the right person and the right moment together.
Who operates the camera?
The camera is explicitly designed for use by non-specialists – Image capture is guided so that non-medical staff can do it – an assistant, a carer in the facility or the patient. That is exactly what extends reach beyond the treatment chair.
Does this also work when the patient is far away?
Yes. Capture requires no shared presence, and the treatment itself need not have taken place in your own practice. What matters is that images, progress and documentation reach the clinician who carries responsibility in a structured way. Aftercare and monitoring stay clean even when home, work and treatment locations fall apart.
Do we have to replace our practice management system?
No. EMPIDENT sits as its own layer before and between appointments and runs alongside your existing system. You can start with one site and one use case, typically intake and triage.
What about data protection and hosting?
Patient data is processed in line with GDPR, hosting is within the EU. Access is role-based and logged. Data processing agreements are provided before the pilot starts.
What does it cost – and who pays?
We work with a model of hardware and ongoing usage – depending on location, case volume and use case. Which option fits you best, we discuss together after the demo.
